Our Story

Pre-School dance classes, RAD Ballet for children and an adult drop in ballet class taught by an experienced Royal Academy of Dance teacher and examiner, in the heart of Eastbourne.

Old Town Dance is an established school based at Community Wise, Old Town, Eastbourne. We welcome boys and girls from 2.5 years of age.

The school is run by Helen Burroughs who has been teaching the RAD syllabus for over 20 years up to Advanced level and has been an RAD Examiner for 13 years. Our last examination results were excellent with 13 Distinctions and 23 Merits awarded.

Helen is a local resident with a young family who aims to make dancing fun and educational for children and adults. The school's aim is to grow year on year and see the children progress through the RAD graded syllabus.

If you are thinking of enrolling your child in a class then please get in touch for a chat. We offer free taster sessions and are competitively priced. It is a great way to introduce your child to dancing, music and movement.The syllabus is designed to encourage physical development and prepare children for the grades if they wish, but they can come and have fun and meet new friends whatever their aims.
